2023 Ford F-150 Raptor: What We Know So Far. The all-new 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor is reportedly in the works. This high-performance pickup truck will go on sale next summer but the Covid-19 outbreak could force Blue Oval to reschedule original plans. And while we wrote about 2021MY and its spy shots, the 2023 F-150 Raptor has been rendered. The renderings are showing the idea of the new Raptor variant.
Yes, rendering images are not the most reliable source of information but we think those renderings are possible and perfectly reasonable. Ford plans to update one of the V6 engines. The F-150 Raptor will also feature a hybrid technology but the all-electric variant is still not on the cards. Lastly, we expect more high-tech features and new practical and easy-to-use systems.
Raptor Hybrid Finally Available
Every year we can find a lot of rumors regarding the new powertrain option. The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor is no different as there are a couple of possible engine candidates. The most reliable sources are suggesting more power for a 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged gasoline engine. Moreover, you can pair this unit with an electric motor that provides additional 47 horses.
Thanks to that, the new F-150 Raptor will produce 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. This high-performance truck will get a beefier suspension and other off-roading components. If 5.2-liter V8 and 7.0-liter DOHC V8 will be in the offer, we don’t know. Ford will reveal more details in the coming months.
2023 F-150 Raptor Facelift
The latest renderings of the 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor are more than interesting. One image is especially exciting and it is the photo of the front fascia. The front section will feature a modified bumper, headlights, grille, and hood. Moreover, the right-hand-side fender comes with a cut-out that is filled with a trim piece taken from the 2023 F-150 Raptor.
Interestingly, the 2021 Raptor comes with vertical-oriented exterior features and the renderings are showing horizontally-oriented items. A complete pickup truck will have to suffer significant upgrades if this truly happens. The rear part will follow the same pattern so even the side profile will need additional changes.
Interior Updates
The forthcoming 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor will gain a couple of upgrades on the inside too. We know the interior layout and its design won’t change at all. On the other hand, the Blue Oval will introduce more high-tech features. That includes the latest infotainment system and the new Tailgate Work Surface. The next Raptor will also offer new driver-assistance aids and a new 12-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Once again, the current 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is available. Unlike the other F-150 trim levels, Raptor is sportier and it comes with unique seats and accents. The moonroof is offered as standard, along with relatively new paddle shifters.
2023 Ford F-150 Raptor Release Date and Price
As for the price, the new 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor will cost more, but it will surely start below $60,000. If the Coronavirus pandemic disappears, the sales will begin in the second half of 2021.
