2023 BMW Pickup Truck Rumors and Expectations. The forthcoming 2023 BMW Pickup Truck has been rendered for the first time. Rendering images are not a reliable source of information but we are impressed with this idea. While nothing is official yet, a pickup truck will wear the “iX’ designation. The all-electric BMW iX crossover is in the works and pickup truck will probably get the same suffix.

2023 BMW Pickup Truck Rumors And Expectations

Previously, BMW introduced a pickup concept based on the X7 SUV. When will this model arrive or how much it will cost, it is hard to predict. Renderings are looking great and the idea is generally plausible. Here’s everything we know about this new model.

What About Performances?

At this moment, we don’t know that much about the new 2023 BMW Pickup Truck. It will run on electric power and that’s something for the start. As we said, the pickup variant will share a lot of things with the iX crossover. That means we expect the same setup of the all-electric powertrain. The iX crossover will generate 500 horsepower thanks to a pair of electric motors. This model sprints from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds.

2023 BMW Pickup Truck Rumors And Expectations

The battery pack is the biggest mystery. However, BMW says the battery will surely provide around 300 miles on a single charge. The BMW i4 sedan is using an 80.0-kWh battery that supports DC fast charging capability. The 10-minute charging will provide around 75 miles of driving range. We can’t say the pickup truck will offer similar figures but we expect great performance.

2023 BMW Pickup Rendered

This is a no brainer. The 2023 BMW Pickup Truck will look like the brand-new iX electric crossover. Two models will share a lot of things, including the design. The rendering images are here and we are stunned by their looks. Interestingly, BMW’s new grille is visible in the renderings, but the electric pickup truck doesn’t need a grille at all. We believe the German manufacture won’t offer this grille unless there is some innovational idea behind it.

These images are showing a pickup truck from the C-pillar forward. The design is the same as the one we saw on the iX crossover. The sloping roofline is the same, along with the narrow headlights. However, the pickup variant offers a small open cargo bed, so the cargo area is not covered. Thanks to this change, we have a completely new vehicle in front of us. See it for yourself.

Interior Details

Again, the 2023 BMW Pickup Truck will probably borrow some cabin cues from its crossover sibling. Thanks to that, we expect more or less the same design and possibly the same high-tech amenities. We believe the BMW will offer a couple of cab setups so driving capacity will depend on the chosen cab. The interior looks modern and simple and it hosts the latest technologies.

That includes a huge curved touchscreen and a hexagonal-shaped steering wheel. A large panoramic sunroof is available too, along with the heated/ventilated seats, integrated speakers, and faux-leather upholstery. The genuine leather seats will be optional for sure.

2023 BMW Pickup Truck Release Date, Price

The brand-new 2023 BMW Pickup Truck will surely cost more than the iX crossover that will start at around $70,000. We are not surprised as BMW is only interesting in building luxury vehicles. The release date is another mystery, but some reports are predicting the first quarter of 2023 as the most likely launch date.
