2023 Peugeot 4008 Design, Price, and Release Date. The all-new 2023 Peugeot 4008 is set to go on sale sometime at the end of 2023 and will bring various upgrades and improvements. It will ride on the same platform as the 3008 and 5008 models. It is expected to provide better handling and driving experience. This four-door SUV will get a more coupe-like design and will look sleeker and more aggressive. On the engine front, it will be available with several petrol and diesel engines but it will also get two plug-in hybrid variants.
2023 Peugeot 4008 engines and performances
Under the hood of the all-new 2023 Peugeot 4008 will be placed several types of engines. And among several variants, there will be gasoline, diesel, and two plug-in hybrid options. Among gasoline engine, the one option will be a 1.6-liter unit which will be able to make 115 horsepower. The second is going to be more powerful and it is a 2.0-liter engine with the output of 150 hp.
Among diesel units, the one will be a 1.6-liter and 1.8-liter engines. Some sources also say that a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine is also very likely to happen. On the other hand, we will also see two plug-in hybrid variants. Both will use a 1.6-liter THP engine and the one variant will get a front electric motor and the total output of this unit is expected to be around 240 horses. The other option will feature two electric motors one on each axle and standard all-wheel drive system. This engine will be able to make around 300 horsepower.
Design of exterior and interior
Of all, the all-new 2023 Peugeot 4008 will ride on the PSA Group EMP2 modular platform which also underpins the 3008 and 5008 models. The carmaker will adjust the chassis and suspension in order to provide better handling and driving experience.
Speaking of the exterior design, the new 2023 Peugeot 4008 will get the more coupe-like look than the typical SUV shape although it is referred as a four-door sport utility vehicle. It will be based on the 3008 model design, but it will get sharper lines. The 4008 will feature a sloping roofline as well, sportier design, elegant and rounded lines all over the body. The front end will be dominated by the revised grille and angular and sharp LED lights which will look aggressive. Looking from the profile which will look more elegant, we will notice slimmer side windows while the rear end will rear a single LED light bar.
Inside the cabin, the 2023 Peugeot 4008 will have two rows of seats. And will be able to welcome up to five passengers comfortably. There isn’t much information about its interior for now, but it is said that, like other brand’s models, the 4008 SUV will get the newest i-Cockpit dashboard with highly-positioned digital instruments and a smaller steering wheel which will provide sportier drive experience.
Release date and price
The all-new 2023 Peugeot 4008 is expected to arrive sometime in late 2023. The price is not yet revealed; but based on our assumptions, we believe that it could be in a range between $20,000 and $30,000.
