This small crossover won our hearts. Its futuristic design needs an update. Buyers in Europe can’t wait to hear what is going on with the Nismo version of this small vehicle. This performance-oriented model puts out more power than the regular setup. Of course, it costs more. We believe the 2023 Nissan Juke will share a lot of things with Kicks. The US version is also going towards the first update.

The engine lineup is also expecting an update. There are four different configurations of the 1.6-liter petrol engine and one diesel unit. A 1.3-liter powertrain was recently introduced, and it perfectly fits the class. Another possibility is a hybrid unit. There are no words about this one.

2023 Nissan Juke Specs

The base setup for the upcoming 2023 Nissan Juke includes a 1.6-liter engine and a five-speed manual transmission. This configuration is capable to produce either 95 or 115 hp (70-85 kW), and 140-160 Nm of torque (100-115 lb-ft). The US version of the same model adds 10 ponies more. Twisting power is the same. Front-wheel drive is the only choice for manual transmission. It has five gears. A stronger engine needs 11 seconds to reach 60 mph, and weaker configuration more than 12.

The same drivetrain can be turbocharged. In this case, power goes up to 140 kW (190 hp) and 240 Nm (180 lb-ft) of torque. Again, the base setup is using a front-wheel drive. This time, there is another option with AWD. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, while you can also purchase Xtronic automatic CVT transmission. Diesel, Nismo

These are not the only options for the 2023 Nissan Juke. Top of the class model, Nismo, is getting an extra touch for more power. Well, the performance-oriented crossover keeps a 1.6-liter drivetrain. Engineers will maximize its outputs to 150 kW (200 hp) and 250 Nm (185 lb-ft). extra power will make the vehicle go faster (215 kmh max speed, less than 8 sec for 0-60). Well, the Juke Nismo is getting more visual and cosmetic updates to become more aggressive and appealing.

Since Nissan is part of the big alliance with Renault and Mitsubishi, it uses a 1.5-liter diesel engine. This one is the most reliable unit by the French carmaker. It delivers 80 kW (110 hp) thanks to a turbocharger, as well as 180 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque. A diesel engine is not so quick, but it saves a lot of fuel with significant consumption reduction.

Interior will also suffer changes. The company is not teasing us with photos of the cockpit. The larger architecture will offer more space inside the cabin. Do not expect high levels of comfort. Remember, Juke is still a subcompact crossover. The sloping roofline won’t allow the cargo area to take too many items. Safety and infotainment will make up the lack of room. Nissan is always there with high-tech options, while Renault will add its own touches to improve the comfort. This is a kind of trademark for all French carmaker.
